Dr. Shifrin received his medical degree from Samara State Medical University (formerly Kuibyshev Medical Institute) in Samara, Russia, in 1981 and practiced medicine there for nearly a decade before moving to the United States in 1989.
After additional training in the U.S. — including at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center (Brooklyn), Jamaica Hospital (Queens), and Jersey City Medical Center (NJ) — Dr. Shifrin began practicing in New York.
Today, he leads Gregory Shifrin OBGYN PC, a well-established practice providing a broad range of women’s health services, including preventive care, minimally invasive procedures, and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology care.
Dr. Shifrin is known for his compassionate, patient-centered approach and extensive clinical experience in:

- High- and low-risk obstetrics care
- Chronic pelvic pain and irregular bleeding evaluation
- Minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery

Dr. Shifrin is fluent in English, Russian, Ukrainian, and Byelorussian, enhancing communication with a diverse patient population.
